A Little Salt Pot

We’ve all seen them on holiday love them, hate them, kitsh or uncool. I love them … cute reminders of the fun we had that year on holiday. Take my little salt pot, I don’t use it everyday but when I catch a glimpse of it, I smile. I picked it up at a table top sale in St Ives, 9 or so years ago.

This pot was one of many designs made in the potteries for coastal towns and then later painted by a local Artist. Popular in the 60’s and 70’s, for the tourists as a keepsake.
