History of Fish and Chips.

The first fish and chip shop opened in 1860,  a truly British combination that has become unbelievably popular in around 150 years.

By 1910, there were 25,000 fish and chip shops in the Britain and in 1929, there were another 10,000

Today, four in every five British people say that they visit a fish and chip shop at least once a year.

And we eat a whopping 382 million chippie meals every year.

Cod is the favourite followed by Haddock. Mushy peas is still the favourite side and tomato sauce with salt and vinegar.

The cod we serve is frozen at sea, skinless and boneless, we have a lot of compliments saying it’s the best they have tasted ;- )
